Terms of sale and use
Last updated October 18, 2026
These terms apply when you buy ECU IQ hardware on ecuiq.com or use the ECU IQ app. By placing an order or using the app you agree to them.
Orders and payment
Prices are in US dollars. Your order is confirmed once payment goes through on Stripe's secure checkout, and you'll get a receipt by email. If we can't fulfil an order (for example, an item sold out), we'll tell you and refund you in full.
Shipping
We ship to the United States and Canada. Shipping cost and any tax are shown at checkout before you pay. We email a tracking number when your order ships, and you can check its status on the track order page. Orders to Canada may be charged import duties by the carrier.
Returns
If you change your mind, contact us within 30 days of delivery. Unused hardware in its original packaging can be returned for a refund of the item price. Return shipping is paid by you unless the item arrived damaged or wrong.
Warranty
ECU IQ hardware has a 1-year limited warranty from delivery against defects in materials and workmanship. If a device fails under normal use, we'll repair or replace it. The warranty doesn't cover damage from accidents, water, modification, or wiring the device in a way the instructions don't describe. To make a claim, contact support with your order number.
Using ECU IQ in your car
- ECU IQ reads data from your car. It does not write to or reprogram your ECU.
- Its checks and the AI Mechanic give information, not a guarantee. They don't replace inspection by a qualified mechanic or tuner, and you decide what to do with your car.
- Don't look at or operate the app while driving. Have a passenger do it, or use the app after you've stopped.
- Obey traffic laws. Pull testing belongs on a track or a dyno, not public roads.
The app
We give you a personal, non-transferable license to use the ECU IQ app with your vehicles. Don't reverse-engineer the app or the scanner firmware, or use them to break the law. We may update the app and the scanner firmware to fix problems and add features.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, ECU IQ isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages, including engine or vehicle damage, and our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the product. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA.
